Hospital flower delivery — plan a thoughtful greeting

Send a thoughtful greeting during a hospital stay. Northblomst can help you explore a bouquet and delivery arrangements, once the ward's acceptance of flowers and a suitable handover point have been checked.

Before sending flowers to a hospital

  1. Ask the specific ward whether it accepts cut flowers and whether it has any restrictions.
  2. Confirm where a courier may hand over the bouquet, who can receive it and when. A hospital's main address alone may not be enough.
  3. Contact us with the hospital, ward, postcode and requested date so we can check delivery options before you order.

Delivery to a reception or an agreed handover point does not automatically include delivery to the bedside. Do not assume that a ward accepts flowers because another ward does.

Choosing a get-well bouquet

Think about the space available and how the recipient will look after the flowers. A compact bouquet can be easier to place than a large arrangement. Ask about a vase if one is needed; check the product description for what is included. Tell us about colour preferences, and we will check seasonal availability.

A short card such as “Thinking of you and wishing you a gentle recovery” keeps the greeting personal. For a new baby, check the maternity ward's arrangements in the same way before ordering.

Details we need for the delivery check

  • Hospital name, full address and postcode.
  • Ward name or number and the agreed handover point.
  • Requested date and any receiving hours.
  • A contact person who can help with handover.

Only share the information needed to arrange delivery. We do not need a diagnosis or medical details. Recipient details can be provided when the delivery is arranged.

Where can we help?

Northblomst prepares and delivers flowers on its own routes in Esbjerg, Kolding, Vejle and Odense. Availability depends on the address, date and capacity. Elsewhere in Denmark, a suitable delivery partner must be confirmed for the request. Hospital and ward acceptance must be checked in every location.

Questions about hospital flowers

Can you guarantee delivery directly to the patient?

No. The ward's rules and the agreed handover point determine what is possible. Contact us before ordering.

What if flowers are not accepted?

Consider a greeting to the recipient's home after discharge, once the address, date and delivery availability are confirmed. A gift is not automatically an accepted alternative on the ward.
