Which flowers suit the ceremony?
A funeral bouquet
A funeral bouquet, known in Danish as a bårebuket, is a tribute intended for the ceremony. Check the product's shape and size, and consider whether you want a simple greeting or a more prominent arrangement.
A wreath or floral heart
A wreath or heart can express a shared farewell from relatives, friends or colleagues. Choose the design according to your relationship and wishes; there is no requirement to choose the largest tribute.
Casket flowers
Casket arrangements form part of the family's overall plan. Coordinate with the person arranging the funeral before ordering to avoid overlapping requests.
Colours, flowers and your message
You might choose quiet whites and greens, soft seasonal colours or colours that recall the person you are remembering. Specific varieties depend on availability and must be confirmed if essential to your request.
A card can say “With love and gratitude” or “A final farewell from us all”, followed by the senders' names. If you would like a ribbon, check the selected product or ask us about the options and wording before ordering.
From choosing flowers to delivery
Have the church or chapel name, full address, ceremony date and start time ready. Confirm the receiving arrangements with the venue or funeral organiser. The ceremony time and delivery time are different; the delivery plan must be agreed separately.
Read about funeral flower delivery. Contact us before placing an order if the ceremony is soon or delivery must meet a particular time.
Church and chapel flowers in our local areas
Northblomst prepares and delivers on its own routes in Esbjerg, Kolding, Vejle and Odense, subject to the address, date and capacity. Requests elsewhere in Denmark need a confirmed partner. This page does not imply a partnership with a particular church or permission to enter it.
Common questions
Should a condolence bouquet go to the church or the family?
A tribute for the ceremony and a bouquet for the family's home serve different purposes. Confirm the recipient and destination before selecting the arrangement.
Do these choices also cover a church wedding?
Wedding flowers are planned separately. Visit our wedding flower proposal page for ceremony flowers and bridal bouquets.
